Man, I've seen a lot of really good Ohio State coaching staffs during my time on the beat, my friend.

I mean, like 2002, and they won the national championship. That was a great staff that Trussell put together. Mark Dantonia was on that staff. It was Luke Vickles' first year back at Ohio State future head coach. Mel Tucker, I know, I know, I know. Mel Tucker, though, is like DB coach. That was pretty good. Mark Snyder, not a good head coach, not a good defensive coordinator, but linebackers coach, future head coach. That was a good step.

Bowman being the OC kind of brings it down a little bit, and then 2014 with Ash and Fickle working together on defense, Tom Herman being the offensive coordinator. Urban put together a really good step then.

This might be the best. And I'm going to go through it. We're going to go top to bottom and just kind of roughly where you would put these guys. Like Ryan Day. Is Ryan Day a top five coach, top three, top ten? The best. We'll start right there. Ryan Day, roughly speaking, where does he rank as far as head coaches in college football in your mind? Right now, I will put Ryan Day number two behind Signetti. He's done a remarkable job.

He's not always going to get the credit that he deserves because at a place like at Ohio State,

they never award the head coaches with

the Coach of the Year award. And I said it, Dave. People call me a homer. People said that it would

never happen. But I said if Ohio State wins 11 games this year, Ryan Day deserves coach of the year.
