This week, as campaigning ahead of the May elections began in earnest following the Easter recess,

we witnessed the rare sight of Kirstama, Andy Burnham and Angela Rainer,

all together in one room at primary school, Greater Manchester,

as they celebrated

the launch of Labour's new breakfast clubs. But despite the public show of unity, behind the scenes

jostling by the Prime Minister's rivals to replace him continues. And as we reported this week,

Andy Burnham's desire to take the chop job remains undimmed. So to discuss whether the so-called

King of the North will make it back down to

Westminster or whether Starm will be able to hold off the threat to his leadership if results

next month are as bad as feared. I'm delighted to be joined by two of my top colleagues who have

both written excellent pieces for us about Andy Burnham this week. Sienna Rogers, deputy editor

to the House magazine, and Tom Scottson, political reporter at Polholm. And alongside

them are the MP Carl Turner, who last month lost the Labour Whip after becoming an all-too-frequent

critic of Kiristan for the party's liking, in particular on the government's policy to scrap

some jury trials, as well as Jane Green, Professor at Nuffield College at Oxford University,

and a member of the leadership team at the British Election Study.

Talk us through the piece he wrote for The House magazine this week about kind of Andy Burnham's undimmed potential of his leadership ambitions.

My piece was really focused on his preparation for leadership.

And the good news for his camp is that basically the soft left and left in the PLP,

the parliamentary Labour Party, I agreed that Angela Rainer is down and Andy Burnham is up.
