I'm so excited to be with you all. If you noticed, I didn't know they were going to show a clip from last week,

but I wear a blazer for the month. So, this is not Tejavu. This is the exact same outfit.

It's just what everybody to know that.

Shout out to Embassy City, y'all already know it's a blazer for the month, so I'm just telling Gateway,

because y'all already know. I want to give a shout out to all the campuses.

I'm so grateful that you're here. We are in a series called Discipleship 101.

Discipleship 101, and we're talking about what it means to be better disciples of Jesus Christ.

To my right, your left are just some of my disciples.

I just decided to bring them with me this weekend,

and it'll make more sense as we get deeper into the message while they're here with me today.

If you have your Bibles, I want you to go to the Gospel according to Saint Mark,

the Gospel according to Mark chapter number eight.

I only want to read two verses in your hearing, and then we'll pray and see what the Lord might say to us.

Gospel according to Saint Mark chapter number eight, the 34th, and the 35th verse.

Here's what it says.

Then, anytime you see the word then, that means there was something before that.

I'll actually go back and address before that, because it's like we just started in the middle of a movie.

Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said,

if any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.

If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it, period.
