0:22.2	Markey, who will be turning 80 years old on July 11th. I was recently struck by a local headline
0:30.6	saying Ed Markey rejects generational change. That was the headline of a newspaper story. And I wonder what your reaction
0:40.6	to that is when you read a story by your opponent saying at age 80 that he rejects generational
0:48.5	change. Well, I mean, he might at least have an argument if his generation was knocking out of the park.
0:55.2	You know, if Democrats were in solid majorities in both the House and the Senate, we had a Democrat in the White House.
1:00.6	But none of those things are true.
1:02.7	The Democratic Party has never had lower approval ratings in American history, even among Democrats.
1:09.6	And that same old playbook with the same old leaders has gotten us
1:13.4	a second term of Donald Trump. He's hurting a lot of people all across America, all across Massachusetts,
1:19.4	now all across the world. And so we got to do better here. And I say that with respect for Senator
1:25.8	Markey. You know, he's a good man. He's served our Commonwealth for half a century. He's been elected longer than I've even been alive. And he's served in Washington longer than every other member of the House and Senate except for Chuck Grassley. So let's thank him for that service, a lifetime of service. Thank you, sir. Appreciate it.
1:45.2	But there comes a time to pass the torch.
1:48.1	And there is a new generation of leaders in our party who are ready to pick that up,
1:53.0	who are ready to fight Trump and MAGA harder and actually lead, lead away forward
1:58.4	so that the party is known for more than just being opposed to Trump,
2:01.6	people actually want to know what Democrats stand for.
2:05.6	That passed the torch language is important. It belongs to John Kennedy, of course,
2:11.9	from Boston, from Massachusetts, talked about that inevitability that comes. The founders of the country were young
