So I want to start you with this friend.

Katie McDonald was at House Hall yesterday, according to his own Instagram.

We had a good conversation about him on the show yesterday. Where are you at with

Katie McDonald, who a lot of people view as a first round pick. You seem to view him more as

maybe a second rounder. How would how do you feel like he would fit the Chicago Bears right now?

Yeah. I mean, I think that if you're looking at

Caden McDonald's, you just have to accept the fact that it's unlikely he's going to develop

into a disruptive pass rusher, right? Like I think that he is an early downs, like a potentially

dominant early downs defender who's going to give you very little pass rush upside. And that's

the thing is that when you look at some of the guys that have gotten taken with that profile, you know, I think of like Mazzie Smith, you know, Jordan Davis, right? Like, you know, the pure like nose tackles that go high. Maybe they weren't great pass rushers in college, but they had the athleticism to say like, okay, you could dream. You could squint a little bit and see like they can get there with time and patience.

And look, those guys typically don't get there with time and patience.

But even when I'm looking at McDonald, I'm not sure that I even like see that upside as I rush her, right?

And so that's where, you know, it is very useful to have an elite run defender

it's not that you oh i wouldn't draft that guy but to take him at 30 that that would be a

you know to take him in the top 30 i should say like that would be risky for me like that's that's

probably a little bit too rich all right let's go edge rusher at 25 here, Fran. Who do you, I'm looking, you know, on
