time. It's time for another edition of Fighting for the Faith, Wednesday, October 30th, 2013.

That's right, we're on the eve of Reformation day. Now as promised we will be doing our light episode today and I will be playing Phil Johnson's just brilliant lecture from Strange Fire from a couple weeks ago.

and I'll reiterate it and that is is that I am absolutely

convinced that Phil Johnson's lecture at the Strange Fire Conference from a couple

weeks ago is probably the most important lecture delivered this century, at least theological lectures.

So there's different categories when it comes to these things.

And I truly appreciate the work being done by the guys over there at Grace to you in challenging

the whackiness that has become the charismatic movement.

Now I understand that the charismatic movement is not just one strain, that there are a whole bunch of different streams within there, but they have so much in common

that a critique of this nature is not only needed it's long, long overdue and so I will not be playing

all of the lectures from the conference that's not going to happen here.

But what we will do today is without any commercial interruption,

I will be playing for you, kind of, if you would,

broadcasting Phil Johnson's particular lecture due to the fact that it was so well done.

And the name of his lecture is, is there a baby in the charismatic bathwater? I think Phil Johnson number one has a good

command of scripture, a good understanding of the topic that he is discussing,
