Many of you have been wondering where I've been.

Well, as you can imagine, I've been very busy promoting my new book,

The End of Race Politics, Arguments for a Colorblind America.

I've been so busy promoting the book, in fact, that I had to take a hiatus from this podcast,

and I'm sorry about that. But don't worry, I'm back. And quick aside, for supporters of the show,

I actually turned off donations effective New Year's Day, so no one who donates monthly

should have been charged in the past two months. During my hiatus, I've had a chance to reflect on my own workflow over the

past three years of doing this podcast, and I'm amazed it's even been three years. And I've come to

some conclusions about the way I've been running things and the way I would prefer to run things

going forward. The past few years, I've been running two feeds in parallel,

one for supporters of the show and one for everyone else. And I've been releasing an episode every

week, or technically two episodes, because of the parallel system. Not only that, I've been

recording and running ads every week on the public feed. Now, this system has

worked, but there was always a trade-off involved for me to run things this way. The demands of

managing that system ended up taking a lot of my time and attention from the long-term projects

I was working on, including my book, which is part of the reason why it took me so long to

write in the first place.
