Summary

Is it even possible for the Left and the Right to talk to one another anymore? Are we living in economically tragic times? Will there be an inevitable collapse of the West, and can we do anything about any of it? Tom Bilyeu has thought a great deal about these questions, and the answers he's come to might surprise you.

Hello and welcome back to making the argument. Today, we've got a, we've got a special

0:04.6

guest for you. And we're going to have an important conversation because I'm going to be

0:09.0

honest. Lately, I've started to wonder whether or not left or right are even capable of

0:15.3

effectively discussing things with one another anymore. When it comes to anything controversial,

0:20.0

it almost seems

0:21.1

impossible. It feels like we're speaking to entirely different languages. And today's guest is,

0:27.8

look, I'm not being hyperbolic here. This is one of the few guys that I have seen where I have

0:32.2

listened to him. And whether we may agree or come down exactly on the same point of a particular issue,

0:38.9

I always feel like I've learned a lot when I listen to him.

0:42.7

And I feel like he's always treated his guest, regardless of who he's speaking to, with an

0:46.5

incredible amount of respect.

0:47.6

And I think that's in part because regardless of political affiliations, regardless of particular policy outcomes, I believe this is a guy that honestly is seeking to get to the truth.

1:02.1

And when you can do that, when you can do it through civil discourse, and that is your honest, that is your honest goal.

1:07.1

I think you can actually accomplish a lot.

1:09.2

So we are thrilled to have on today the host of

1:11.3

impact theory. Tom Bill, you. How are you doing, sir? I'm good, man. I'm ready for this.

1:16.9

This is going to be fun. Well, good, good. Because you've had some, you've just had a really

1:21.8

interesting discussion with Ian Bremmer. You would talk with Douglas Murray recently.

1:27.4

One of the things I really want to get to right off the bat. I mean, obviously, anybody that hasn't seen impact theory should immediately go over and subscribe and start watching because you guys do have some really interesting conversations. But again, I look at some of the people you have on your show and we're talking like, you know, opposite ends of the political spectrum, very, very different ideas about what's going on with current politics, with, with cultural issues.

1:53.4

Here's my question. And this goes right into what I kind of let us off with. Have we gotten to a point where when we look at left and right, have we got to a point

2:02.9

where we are coming from two fundamentally different positions of viewing information

2:08.5

and data that this is different than what we may have experienced in the past?
