Welcome back to the Dersh show. I am so pleased with the letters that I got based on yesterday's show where I displayed the kind of museum of horrors the history of anti-semitism to try to demonstrate

that what we're seeing on college campuses today is part of a long, long, long,

history of bias and prejudice and discrimination and that these Hitler youth that are now marching and calling for death to America and death to Israel are part of a long, long history of anti-Semitism that goes back to pogroms in Europe to quotas against Jews and ultimately to the

Holocaust that these Hitler youth who are marching, which they think for decent reasons, are part of a long, long historical trail of horrible bigotry against the Jewish people and most recently against the nation state of the

Jewish people. So I'll read some letters later on, but now I really want to turn to, as you know I've said before, I have red lines regarding my commitment as a a Democrat I always think of myself as a liberal Democrat

more a libertarian than a leftist a constitutionalist somebody who cares deeply about civil liberties and civil

civil rights and mostly have been associated with the Democratic

Party and Democratic candidates I'm not a card-carrying member of the

Democratic Party and I generally don't contribute of the Democratic Party.

And I generally don't contribute to the Democratic Party.

I contribute to specific candidates,

and I've contributed to Republican candidates,

ranging from Governor Weld governor well to governor

romny to to you know members of the Senate uh

Ted Cruz I contribute to all of my former students, even if I disagree with them, I'm so proud

that these are people who learn from me and I learned from. So I'm always happy to do that.

But I've talked about red lines and one of the red lines that I've talked about is if the Biden administration

withheld unnecessary military equipment from Israel. Now, we're not sure what the situation is. There's a lot of ambiguity about it. They have

certainly delayed the shipment of some necessary material, but the White House hasn't

confirmed that they're withholding it and they're

certainly doing it to try to prevent Israel from winning its war against

Gaza. They say it's because they're worried about civilian casualties.
