0:09.0	They're going to be hanging out with their son Luke this weekend. He's graduating from basic training.

0:17.0	So unfortunately, you guys are stuck with me. But I do have some good news because today we have a special guest on the podcast all the way across the pond in the UK.
0:25.6	He's going to be talking about what's going on with our sister country in the United Kingdom.
0:30.1	There's a lot that's going on related to some of the crime and policing legislation, the Online Safety Act, the immigration protests,
0:38.9	and some polling that shows that Starmer's government is not really popular.
0:43.5	And honestly, I can't really blame the Brits for wanting to vote him out of office,
0:47.9	even though he's only been there for 12 months.
0:50.3	So with us today is Jonum Ross, who Nick has previously interviewed just over a year ago.

0:58.4	He's not really into the politics, but he's into the psychology of what's going on, not just in his own country, but in large parts of the West.

1:26.7	for feeling like that every single time they vote in an election, it doesn't really change

1:31.5	In fact, if anything, things seem to be getting in, you know, I'm butchering this, but
1:37.1	if anything, things seem to be getting worse over time, right?
1:40.8	They voted for Brexit, immigration got worse.
1:43.4	They voted the Tories out. The situation got worse. Now they might be voting labor out in the next election, but are things really going to get a whole lot better with reform?
