I think in that broadly anti-war crowd, the majority of people, the vast majority of people are aware that the Chinese government is engaging in all kinds of shady stuff and human rights abuses and all of that and is contributing to the conflict itself.

But wherever you stand on that question, like I think even the position that is both anti-war

and I think overly apologetic on behalf of the Chinese government, like there are reasons why people on the anti-war left find that kind of position plausible that have nothing to do with like them getting paid off by Chinese

authorities and so on I think like there's some interesting questions about how we understand why that

ideology seems as plausible as it does to this section on the anti-war left.

And I think they're like really interesting questions there and chasing after CCP money I think doesn't actually get us much of the way to
