We're going to tackle it in a different way.

We're going to discuss why is the rapture so important, or more specifically, is it really such a big deal that I believe in a pre-trip rapture?

Okay, Brother Todd, this is a topic that we're getting a lot of feedback about. People are talking about. People send us emails about this all the time, this whole idea of the

rapture. And the rapture is under attack, as we know, not only in the world where people are mocking

it, like scripture says they would, but also from within the church, even from theologians

who are calling it just a extended version of home alone.

It's kind of like you've been left behind, you know, at home kind of thing.

So what is the big deal?

So let's start by asking the question.

I mean, is the topic of what you believe about the rapture, is this an issue that determines

salvation?

That's a good question.

And it's good that we tackle that kind of with a lot of

the topics that we talk about is these are secondary issues. They're not in any way, shape, or form

going to impact someone's salvation. Salvation is 100% based on people accepting Christ. And every single

one of us, when we accepted Christ, that's about all we knew

was that Jesus was the Savior and he died for us. So we still have a whole lot to learn. And we got to,

you know, thankfully we've had a lifetime since then to learn. So no, it's not a salvation issue at all.

But that's not to say that it's not important. Yeah, totally. I mean, there are a lot of things in the Bible that are not salvific or they don't really bear upon our salvation.

I mean, someone coming to Christ, the issue is simply knowing you're a sinner, knowing what Christ did on the cross for you, and then putting your trust in him.
