Now, with that said, let's jump right into what we're talking about today. The role of the Holy Spirit in salvation. Dr. James White did another critique of provisionism in his most recent broadcast on Saturday, I believe it was. It's been a while. Many of you may have noticed I haven't done a live live broadcast in some time. That is because I was on vacation for a couple of weeks, followed by the flu.

And I am still getting over a cough in my chest.

So if you see me pause and mute, you'll know why.

But it's, yes, Amber, it is a live stream and it is good to be back with you after a long kind of hiatus.

But I hope this is going to be one of those kinds of broadcasts.

It's really going to help bring some light to the discussion because I think it highlights, even as James White puts in his critique, this is a major issue.

This is a major point of division

between our camp, so to speak. And we may think that for different reasons, but nevertheless,

we both agree that it is a major point of distinction. And I think it's worth unpacking,

because I really do think it gets to the heart of the issue with regard to our conversion, our salvation, the concept of regeneration and all that's entailed within that.

And so, by the way, I was sent this clip by a listener and went and watched the original program. And so notice I am responding

to his critique. For some reason, out there online, there's this narrative being pushed forward

that Leighton only talks about James White, and that's all he ever talks about. He's obsessed with James White. I'm simply responding to James White. If John Piper were doing videos on
