0:00.0	In Matthew 24, 21, Jesus said, at the end of time, there will be a great tribulation,
0:10.7	such as has not occurred since the beginning of time until now, nor ever shall be.
0:19.5	This tribulation is going to encompass the whole globe. Throughout history,
0:27.1	there are times of tribulation in certain parts of the world, but not in others. But the so-called
0:34.6	great tribulation is going to be a global tribulation. No one will escape it.
0:42.3	And that will be the indication of the nearness of the return of Christ to take his children,
0:49.7	to take his believers home to heaven. Now let me hasten to say that Jesus also said that no one knows that day.
1:00.9	It could be today or a hundred years from now. Only the father knows that day. But we live every day,
1:09.9	always in anticipation it may be today.
1:14.3	Here in this passage, our Lord Jesus Christ is speaking about two distinct events.
1:21.9	I'm going to explain them to you.
1:23.3	Two distinct events.
1:24.4	He talks about what's going to happen 40 years from the time where he's
1:31.1	speaking, sitting on the Mount of Olive, talking to them. That's what's called the Olivet Discourse.
1:37.7	Forty years from that time on 70 AD, when Jerusalem was totally destroyed.
1:46.3	Then, secondly, he talks about another event, and that is the time immediately before his return.
1:54.1	You say, Michael, how do you know that?
1:55.8	Well, in the 70 AD time, the events, he talks about those days that took many, many, many,
2:03.6	many days for Jerusalem to fall and for the temple to be destroyed.
2:08.5	But then he switches and says, on that day, talking about the day of his return,
2:14.3	it's going to be fast, it's going to be quick. It's not going to take long time.
2:18.8	It's going to be seconds in a moment in a twinkling of an eye.
