Well, I just wanted to take care of some quick business before we do a little bit of a detour today.

We've been in a series as you know related to a doctrinal truce of Christianity,

the essential bare minimums we would say that all of us would have to

embrace in order to call ourselves Christians and that series is posted on our

website under the section entitled Doctrine and it was initially a study of the Apostles Creed.

And we've been just kind of inching along on that series, really since May, and we're almost

done with Summer.

Do you believe it?

And we've taken many detours along the way to kind of

address other issues that seem to pop up and we're going to do that again for the next couple of

weeks because I've been on vacation for two weeks now and I've had a chance to really sit down and think about

what it is that I think shapes our lives as Christians and what the

scriptures actually call us to be and how they call us to live as Christians and so much of

it has parallels for me at least in the life that I live as a detective and I wanted

to share with you over the next couple of weeks, something that I call responsive Christianity.

We've talked about it once before many, many podcasts ago related to the idea of responding, being ready to respond to people who have questions about your faith.
