I should maybe apologize in advance, unlike most of the talks that will take place over this conference

that are going to deal with the creed front and center beginning to end.

My talk is really going to take the creed as point of

departure for what I'd like to say about the relationship of the old and New Testament,

specifically the notion that the creed I think is deeply indebted to. That is the notion that

the Christological mystery unfolds in a way that is in accordance with the
