Summary

“To be content with little is difficult; to be content with much, impossible.”  ― Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach

"Is that all?"

It’s an innocent enough question. Unless it’s being asked  by one of your kids on Christmas morning.

My friends, as you prepare for your holiday season, take pause to celebrate and rejoice in the amazing blessings already present in your life.

Be in awe of the fact that the seemingly good and bad of your life have already lead you perfectly to where you are today and providentially to what’s possible tomorrow.

And be convinced that the foundation is firm, 2020 almost behind us and the best is yet to come.

Well, hello, my friends, and welcome to Monday morning motivation with John O'Leary Christmas

0:13.1

Week edition. We always like to begin around here with a quote. So let's do exactly that.

0:19.7

Here it goes. To be content with little

0:21.7

is difficult. To be content with much impossible. It's an awesome quote. I'm going to say to you

Several years ago, we went to church with Best Family, Christmas Eve, and then drove to my parents'

1:12.7

house to reconnect with cousins, to eat dinner, and to open up some presents. As it got late, we then

1:18.5

drove our three, five, seven, and nine-year-old children back to visit Best Family to enjoy

1:25.0

a late-night dessert, more holiday holiday cheer to sing some Christmas songs,

1:29.5

and to open up, you guessed it, a few more presents. After an exhausting day with little kids,

1:35.8

we dragged our four ones out of the party, tethered them into their car seats, drove them home,

1:41.7

carried them to their rooms, and tucked them into their beds.

1:45.4

Then, fueled with a glass of wine, Beth and I assisted Santa with wrapping some presents, laying

1:53.1

them around the tree, stuffing stockings before finally collapsing into bed. As the sun peaked over

2:00.5

the horizon, little footsteps, pitter-pattered down the

2:04.3

hallway into our bedroom, loudly pronouncing the dawn of Christmas morning. Pulling their mom and

2:11.2

dad out of bed, the kids tugged us downstairs. They raced to the stockings. They grabbed their
