The I'm Vinnie Paulitan, the subject of my investigation, the tragic death of Boston police officer John O'Keeth, who was either killed by his girlfriend or by fellow police officers.

That's what this trial is about.

But there's a lot more going on inside the courtroom, and a lot of it is kind of personal.

Here's the story.

On a bitter January morning in 2022, Boston police officer John O'Keefe was found dead outside

a Canton home.

His body battered and lying in the snow.

Hours earlier, he had been with his girlfriend, Karen Reed, who now stands accused of killing

him by backing into him with her SUV.

But the story doesn't end there.

Jennifer McCabe, a friend of Reeds and a central figure that night, told investigators she helped Reed search for O'Keefe.

Yet questions have swirled around McCabe's actions, her phone searches, her timing,

and the exact role she played that night. Karen Reid insists she's being framed, pointing to

inconsistencies and witness statements, and suggesting law enforcement is protecting one of their

own. The case has sparked outrage, conspiracy theories,
