Do you ever feel like someone is holding you back?

I know this feeling well, my friends, and it's a horrible one.

It can feel like we're caged somehow, especially if we've had a parent who's very

domineering or we have a friend who has very clear ideas about what's right or

wrong for us or maybe it's even our spouse or partner.

I want to share with you something recently that came up for me on one of my coaching calls in self-coaching society,

and it was about a woman who has started a business, yay,

congrats, but who feels very held back by her husband. Her husband as per her description, isn't supportive, doesn't believe in her, doesn't think it's possible,

thinks it's a waste of time, thinks that she's wasting her energy and her money and her talent, and frankly he is just not

a believer in what it is that she wants to create. And look, I understand, it is not a nice feeling. It can feel like

there's almost like a war or this tension inside of us because our dream is loud, right?

The vision we have in our heart, it's powerful, it moves us.

And yet someone that we love, a very big influence in our life,

someone we care about is at war with that goal, with that belief,

with what it is that's in our heart, what it is that we want to pursue and create.

I know this is not a dreamy ideal situation to be in and yet it happens and will continue

to happen. In fact it's increasingly or surprisingly, I mean common. I'm bringing

this up as an example today because it's not isolated. So I think that this could perhaps help

you if there is someone in your life that you feel gosh I really

want to go for it but this person's holding me back I really want to go in this

direction but I can't because this person will be won't be pleased with me or I just really want to go all out and play big
