So Liverpool have landed on Slot as the man they'd like to replace Juergen Klopp.

At the time of recording, David, what is the state of play and how has it developed

over the last 48 hours?

Well, the state of play is that Liverpool are negotiating with Fyernard to try and reach

an agreement, strike a deal that would potentially see Arnyslott take over as manager,

head coach from Juergen Klopp in the summer.

Liverpool were already in contact with Arnie Slott himself and it's our understanding that he's

enthusiastic about the possibility of becoming Liverpool manager. But of course a lot of talks need to

take place, not least on compensation, because there is no

release clause in his contract. And so Fynod can drive whatever bargain they want. I think if he

would like to go, they're not going to kill that dream, but the terms do need to be right for them,

because they intend to keep hold of him. He's under contracts until
