Bruce, we are having our colleague on today, Chris Vanini, our colleague from the athletic to discuss.

Chris covers everything.

So we can talk to, and we're going to talk to him about San Diego State in this bizarre situation about their possible divorce from the Mountain West.

Chris knows all things things group of five.

You and I have been interested for a little while in Boise State, whether that program

is slipping.

And Chris, and this might be the most important thing for audience, has been covering

every step of the way of EA sports, the return of NCAA football.

And there's been some headlines about that recently.

So we get into that with him as well.

So let's get to our interview.

We are joined by our colleague at the athletic Chris Finini to discuss quite a few things.

I mean, Chris covers all college football, not just group of five,

but we still think of him sometimes as the group of five guru. And there's an interesting

story in the news right now, Chris. San Diego State. Are they, have they been kicked out of the

mountain west? Are they in an open relationship with the Mountain West and the Pact 12, what's going on here?

Well, they may have accidentally gotten themselves into a position where they are kind of kicked out of their own doing.

They're not actually kicked out.

You need like three quarters of vote for that to happen.

What happened last week is the school sent a letter to the Mountain West and all 11 school presidents to say,

hey, we intend to resign from the league. Can we talk about this exit fee deadline of June 30th?
