military expert Scott Ritter. He is a former United Nations weapons inspector who served in Iraq.

And we can talk about his experience there. It turned him into a critic of

the war in Iraq and of U.S. foreign policy. And Scott Ritter is also a former Marine Corps

intelligence officer. And Scott, today, there's a lot we want to talk about. I think the best

thing to start with actually is that there's this democracy summit going on

right now. It was virtual in the United States. The Biden administration invited Ukraine, which

might surprise people in Ukraine to learn that their government is a democracy, considering a lot of

the opposition is currently in detention and critical media outlets were shut down.

But we've seen escalation in the past several weeks.

We've seen claims that the U.S. government, by the U.S. government, that Russia is planning to invade Ukraine.

And Scott just published a really good article.

I'll get it up here that goes through it kind of systematically and picks apart the claims about Russia's supposed invasion of Ukraine.
