Whatever the opposite of, over-employed, over overemployed would be the best way to describe.

Yeah, overemployed. Yeah, I have four jobs it feels like. I'm not sure. Yeah, somebody recently told me,

they said, hey, I was talking with somebody who wanted to find out like the history of

knowing faith and building podcast. And I was happy to talk with them. And they were like, okay, so like how many full-time staff work for knowing faith? And podcast and I was happy to talk with them and they were like okay so

like how many full-time staff work for knowing faith and I was like what and they were like

yeah like how many full-time staff was like no full-time we have no full-time staff there are zero

or three depending on how you look at it yeah right I was like yeah there's no full-time stuff but I am

joined here by Jen Wilkin and JT English over- uh, overemployed as they are. Welcome. I hope you guys are doing

well. Um, today on this episode, we are asking a question that is, uh, far away from all

three of our imaginations. Okay. Thanks, Kyle. That's very nice. I wanted to include you, you know,

I don't want to, you know, I don't want to have. You know, do teachers ever really retire?

You know what I'm saying? Well, this is actually good fodder. So I know it will be. So we are asking the question, is retirement a Christian concept? And you know what? Somebody asked us recently on social media and I'm not always going to call social media comments to attention because I don't want you thinking we're going to respond to every single one of them. But somebody asked, we put out an episode topic and they said, why are you covering this topic? It seems like there's a lot of other topics you could cover. And honestly, fair question. Because we are picking these. But when we pick them, we're not just picking them because we feel like they're of the moment or they're culturally relevant.

Like, I think there are actually some really important biblical and theological concepts that underlie a discussion on something like retirement.

And I think it's worth saying, hey, you might be thinking about retirement from a financial planning standpoint.

Great.

You might be thinking about retirement from a social security standpoint? Great. You might be thinking about

retirement from a social security standpoint. That would have to do with politics and the role of the

state and government and economics. You might be thinking about retirement from a budgetary standpoint.
