My name is Dan Koch. Like many of you, I've been on a complicated faith journey for a number of years now.

And while I tend to find myself on the progressive side of Christianity, my goal is not to make liberal converts.

I want this show to be a resource for Christians to my right and to my left, as well as

former Christians and non-religious folks, anyone who finds themselves asking difficult questions

about God, science, prayer, fate, suffering, evangelism, and more. So many of us have been given bad answers to those good questions, often by people with

pure intentions.

I want to say that you have permission to take both Christianity and the modern world very

seriously.

And I hope to facilitate that by introducing you to people seeking God across

I am so excited to be here talking about attachment science and faith, my favorite topic in the world.

I mean, you wrote a book about it. It's called Attached to God. We're going to be referencing that book today.

I don't know if it's exactly my favorite topic, but man, it's it's it's it's creeping its way into

the top five, top 10 for me, for sure. Yeah, I feel like it was an info dump, this like integration

of psychology and faith, like trying to try to figure out like from these different perspectives,

like where does this fit or like what does this mean Just, yeah, some of my favorite topics ever.

In your book, you talk about this thing your grandma used to sew together, this very popular

evangelistic tool for children over the last hundred plus years called the wordless book. Tell us about that. Yeah, I remember it

for my grandma. It was like made out of felt. She sewed it. So it wasn't really a book. And it had

these different colors to like help someone walk through like a gospel presentation. Right.
