Good afternoon, parish orphans and retrogrades. Is Pope Francis actually okay? There's a

longstanding Vatican tradition, if you will, lowercase T, of not being completely forthcoming with

popes who are in health trouble that are having health woes.

And Pope Francis is in the hospital for a week right now for a colon surgery that other doctors,

if you look around the web, poke around there, you'll see the doctors are saying this is

strange that he's in the hospital for a full week. Also, you'll see the doctors are saying this is strange that he's in the hospital

on Pope Francis, it was a laparoscopy. The key word here is probably. Why would they not know?

These are professional journalists.

And the crown jam of all this is a New York Times article that broke yesterday entitled

Vatican History of Obfuscation Clouds News on Francis's Health.

While there was no reason to doubt the veracity of statements on the

Pope's conditions after colon surgery, which were he's satisfactory, is the direct quote,

the Vatican's long lack of transparency has earned it skepticism. The day after Pope John Paul

II underwent a tracheotomy to relieve respiratory problems in

2005. The Vatican's then spokesman indicated to reporters that things were peachy, presumably,

according to the New York Times. And as we know, JP2 ended up dying later that year.

So the questionable thing is, why is Pope Francis's actual surgical technique not disclosed

by now, right?

He had this surgery two and a half three days ago.

And why do we not have more detail on this most important

world leader, most important world figures, recovery status? Of course, when the colon is involved,
