So the title of this dilemma is, is my friend getting catfished or am I overthinking this?

I recently connected with a uni friend after nine years and somehow I became her unofficial therapist.

She's currently dating a Muslim guy.

Her family is Sikh and her dad is not having it.

Like he's already met the guy and said, no.

The mom is strict to, but in a different way.

Now, here's where it gets weird.

About a month ago, she gets a random Facebook message from a guy.

She barely remembers from some

uni event years ago they start chatting and she starts catching feelings problem is she doesn't

even know his real name he goes by kim saying his Sikh and Muslim only talks in the evening

and only talks in the evening because he works seven days a week he said said he wants to, he said he can meet up though,

but only like during the night times. She can't really sneak out at night without

raising suspicion at home, especially with her dad already on edge. I suggested we she meet him

while staying with her mom one weekend. He's a solution, right? No, he disappears for two weeks.

She's messaging him, he's reading, but no replies. Then she sees he's been on holiday via his story.

I tell her to comment on it. He finally responds, apologises, comes back or flirty. Then immediately

it starts to turn, the conversations start to turn sexual.

Now he's saying that he's single,

lives with his mum,

wants to meet again,

but again only at night.
