There's been a huge amount about Morgan McSweeney,

Kirstama's Chief of Staff.

A book has come out, which I've read and is utterly compelling.

on the rise of Kirstama in the election victory. But basically, as you'll have all read and

clocked, it's about Morgan McSweeney and the power he wields, which raises many questions.

First of all, let's us all reflect on this one.

Are we okay with the idea of a non-elected figure in Downing Street, wielding seemingly considerable power over what government does, over who's in the government, etc.

Or do any of us have doubts about it?

For me, I'm okay with that idea as long as the elected leader is held to account for what happens behind the scenes.

But what do you all feel, Ian?

Well, I have some concerns about it, and I'm sure we'll come on to talk as well about

Dominic Cummings at some point.

You're going to look at others.

He's back in the news this week with a rather incendiary interview with the Sunday Times,

I think.

So there's a fashion for it, isn't there?
