Hello and welcome to the podcast. I'm your host, Evan Brand. I'm an online functional

medicine practitioner, also a functional nutritional therapy practitioner. I have an online

practice used to be in brick and mortar years ago. Back in 2015, my wife was pregnant with our

first child at the time and I said, you know what? I'm just helping people in this small

little town. I really have to reach more people. And I already was at my podcast since 2012,

but in terms of working clinically, that was online was a small piece of the puzzle back then

just because of what I was doing in the brick

and mortar. I do miss the hands-on palpations. I'm debating opening a brick and mortar in a to-be-determined

location just for maybe two days a week, just to be able to have that opportunity. So I'm not fully

committing to it, but just thinking about it, be happy to hear

and interacting with me. You know, when you're getting millions of downloads over a decade of doing

this, you look at the numbers and they really don't matter. You know, they don't impress you.

They don't make you happy. Like Jim Carrey, the famous actor, he wrote himself. I believe it was a $10 million check

when he wanted to get casted for Ace Ventura. He just wanted $10 million. He didn't have

much money at the time, and it came true. His dream came true, and he realized that wasn't all

that it was cracked up to be. So he wished for people to achieve their dreams to realize

that maybe that's not what you wanted after all. So long story short, the numbers and numbers and

numbers. What's more important is connection with people. And so that's what I'm getting at here.
