0:06.4	That's exactly the question that I'm going to try to answer today,
0:09.2	sharing with you my thoughts and opinion now that we have had MetaVerified for about the last year.
0:14.3	Before we dive into whether or not it's worth it, I do think it's important to make sure that
0:20.9	we're all on the same page about what is
0:23.0	meta verified what is offered what is promised what is guaranteed and some of the
0:26.5	myths that are floating around about meta verified. Meta verified is a
0:29.9	program that's available on both Facebook and Instagram where you can pay a
0:33.8	monthly fee in order to get the little blue check mark next to your profile.
0:37.8	It's been available for about a year now and before that the only way that you could
0:41.5	get the blue checkmark on
0:42.5	Instagram was if you were a notable public figure and then either Instagram
0:47.1	found you on their own and decided to give you the blue checkmark or you could apply you could provide them with some links to maybe news articles that you've been mentioned in,
0:56.3	and then if Instagram deemed you noteworthy enough, you would get the blue checkmark.
1:00.2	In the US, it's $15 per month on Instagram to get verified and $12 per month on Facebook to get verified.
1:07.0	And with verification, there's more than just the blue checkmark.
1:09.5	They also give increased account security measures, which basically means that they are proactively
1:14.3	trying to prevent your account from being hacked.
1:16.3	You also get access to exclusive features on Instagram stories and Reals, although they haven't
1:21.2	really told us what those are yet, there are occasional little features that you do get as a part of MetaVerified.
1:27.0	And if you're a part of MetaVerified on Facebook, you get what's called 100 stars per month.
