It comes from the tabloid talk show stuff in Boston, and it was concocted there.

For several weeks now, we've been following the turmoil at Market Basket, the largest

and best grocery chain in New England. And as you know, Arthur T. Dumoulis, the CEO, was removed as a chairman, and his top aides, including his two

kids, were removed. And last or a couple weeks ago, they removed more, more of the next level

down of his loyalists.

And then yesterday, they finally fired the two, his two top associates,

grocery supervisor Tom Gordon, who worked there for 50 years,

and operations director, Joe Schmidt, who had 39 years in.

And they fired them yesterday.

We've had them on the show before, and they're back in the studio now.

well i was uh i was actually uh away for a couple of days up in Vermont with a little golf

trip, my brothers, and I'd received a text from a number I didn't recognize, but it was a copy

of a notice that I'd gone out to all the stores, saying that they had promoted some other people
