You know, there's so many interesting things about this, and especially in regards to Koeberger,

because so many people were upset that he did not get the death penalty, but instead he got four

life sentences without the possibility of parole. And when that happened, I was actually okay with it,

and I spoke about this on the show numerous times with Mike, because to me, the death penalty has been hijacked by politics.

And even if he would have gotten convicted after a trial and been sentenced to the death penalty, the chances of him getting it would still be slim. It could be

25 or 35 years of appeals. And that's one of the reasons I feel like this sentence is probably the

best they could have done. Mike, your thoughts? Yeah, Bill, is, I agree. They had a, they had,

all from what we know now and all the little things that we weren't told,

they have a, they had a tremendous case against him.

It was, you had the DNA, you had the car, you had the phone evidence, the geo-fencing,

you had all of that stuff.

And the fact is, we could go through the trial.

They could be looking to put him to death.

You can get a jury that may find him guilty and say, yeah, there is so much evidence.

No problem.

He's guilty.

Okay.

Next day, we start the penalty phase trial. It's a bifurcated system. You have two trials, one for the guilt phase, one for the punishment phase. And the punishment phase, the prosecution has to go back over and reiterate all of the aggravating circumstances. He killed more than one person. These were young people. It was done in a torturous way.

It shows a complete disregard for human life, a depraved indifference to human life. All of these things

that would make him, that aggravate a regular murder and make it a death penalty eligible

murder. And you can do that. And Anne Taylor

would put up some sort of defense. At the end of the day, you may get someone who could say,
