the Heinburn local elections.

And I'm fortunate to time we're in stock.

Oh, right, okay.

Heinbern is a collection of former mill towns in East Lancashire.

It's on a knife edge politically, and is exactly the sort of place that Labour should be winning back.

And I've been struggling to get anybody in the Labour Party.

Labour and the Conservatives currently have exactly the same number of councillors,

but the Tories run the local authority, with a little help from a couple of Greens.

I'm just going to ring another one of the councillors.

If you believe the national polls, Labour ought to be flying high in places like Heimburn.

But when I went to visit Accrington last week, the borough's main town, no one from

Labour would talk to me at all. But eventually I decided I was just going to have to go in and see them at their campaign headquarters in the town centre.
