Hi John. So Joe Biden spoke yesterday about the rioting and Donald Trump will later today

go to Kenosha, Wisconsin. Christine, you watch the Biden speech. What are your thoughts?

So I watched the speech and then I read the speech later. And I had interestingly a more

negative reaction to reading the text than I did listening to him give it. There is something

sort of affable and calming about Biden's demeanor, especially after several years of listening

to Donald Trump in crisis moments. What I took away from it was that he did not, he spent a lot of

time and several mentions specifically of things like right wing militias and right wing violence.

He did not ever once name anyone on the left wing who we all know have been behind most of the

violence and the rioting and the damage of the past few months in this country. He didn't say

anti-file once. He didn't say you know protesters with Black Lives Matter who took things too far,

not a single time. So for me it was I really felt he had an opportunity not just to bring the

temperature down which he did a little bit, but to specifically call out the people on the left

who we all know and the mainstream media has been in denial about and democratic politicians have

been denial about for months as the focus of the violence and to call them out specifically by name.

He should have done that. He did not do that. So I think for me that was what the message I was

looking for. I'm not a huge Trump fan, but I was hoping to see something a little stronger from

Biden than what his earlier issued press statement had been. And when I reread his remarks I was even

it was even more noticeable when I read the remarks. Gabe? Yeah I think I feel the same way and this

is again an example. He is not leading. He's following the lead of the press and the media on this
