Friends, welcome to Word on Fire Catholic Ministries. Word on Fire is an

apostolate dedicated to the mission of evangelization using media both old and

new to share the faith on every continent and to facilitate an encounter with

Peace be with you. Friends, we come today to the last Sunday of the

liturgical year, the Feast of Christ the King. I always think of the liturgical

year as kind of his great procession at the end of which comes the most

important figure, the King. Because in a way this sums up what the Christian life

is all about. Is Jesus the King of your life? Is he the Lord of your life in

every sense? All the other celebrations of the year in a way are asking that

question. They're leading you toward that conclusion that Christ must be King.

Can we say that he's our dominoes? He was that Latin word. I like it because it

sounds like dominate in English and that's okay. He's meant to be the one who

dominates. He's the Lord of every aspect of our lives. Can we say with Paul it's

no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. That means he's become the

King of every aspect of my life. Because here's the point everybody if we say

anything but that we are basically forcing around with Christianity and not

living it seriously. Let me say that again. If we say anything other than

Christ is the King of the whole of my life, I'm forcing around with Christianity.
