Hello, everyone. Welcome back to You Thought You New, the podcast where we talk about survivor

players that we think may be underrated, underappreciated, or just misunderstood. Each episode,

we try to answer a question that's designed to make us challenge our preconceived notions about a

famous survivor contested. Of course, there are no right answers. It's just an excuse to talk about

our favorite show. I'm your co-host Nigel Bokenegra and I'm joined by my partner in crime, Kevin

McClain. Yes, excited to be here and talking about a really fun and I think kind of polarizing

contestants, so it'll be a really fun recording today. And I love a polarizing contestant. And we

are also joined today by a guest that I'm very excited to be speaking with today. We are speaking

with David Bloomberg. David, how are you? Good, good. Glad to be here and you know, you said there

are no right answers. I'm used to there being right answers. So, you know, we'll have to see how that

goes. Yeah. And I'm really excited to talk to David today because I was telling Nigel right

before we started recording is that as I think back about what it was like becoming a survivor fan

and like kind of developing all these opinions, right? You follow like, they'd call them like

thought leaders, influencers, if you will. And it's like, I think David Bloomberg might have been

one of the first people to get even an impression on me as a survivor fan because you're reading

columns, you're following things, you're seeing it through a specific person's lens and like what

they're valuing. And so I think it's not a surprise that I valued a lot of like strategic method,

like a methodical gameplay because I think that's kind of the way that David had framed things.

And David, I'll tell you this is Teenage Kevin. So this is probably 2008 or so. I had read every

single YX lost article that you had posted on reality news online. And I created a big spreadsheet.

This is like my nerdy teen survivor, Microsoft Excel 2003 and like scored everyone based on all

of the different rules like, you know, 10 points for plotting and scheming, you know, at eight points

...
