studio, the AC is fixed and now I won't be sweating like crazy about five minutes into the podcast.

So unless you guys ask some really good questions, then I suppose it's possible.

So a couple of things that I want to dive into tonight.

First of all being the thing that I think is on most Vikings fans minds at the moment, which is,

where is J.J McCarthy's contract? That is one.J. McCarthy's contract?

That is one.

And then also I want to jump into previewing

the cornerback group for training camp.

I did put this one off and move it back

because of Kyrie Jackson, because I felt it was pretty inappropriate to just start talking about the starting lineup in the battle and everything else after Kyrie Jackson and the tragedy that happened with him dying in a car crash, but alas, training camp is upon us.

Cornerbacks will compete for spots, so I want to take a look at that position as well. So I have been looking around and trying to talk to as many people as I could about J.J. McCarthy's contract and why it has not been signed and all I can come up with folks is that it's time to panic freak out

run outside right now light your hair on fire and scream up at the sky

No, I'm just kidding.

I think it'll probably be fine.

The best that I can ascertain from talking to people and looking around the internet

like everybody else for previous examples of this is that the holdup is likely and I say

likely because this has not been said by anyone Adam Shefter hasn't reported it or anything like that. The Vikings haven't put it out there. No agent has put it out there. But there are only so many potential sticking points that could happen when it comes to a first round pick and a contract dispute.

And the first thing that it could always be is something like the offsetting language.

Now that's unlikely because that means if the player gets cut

then the team still pays or another team pays

that signs him or something like that, that's probably not likely what this has to do with.
