I think my favorite Steve Miller band story

was Steve Miller when he was inducted into the Rockin' Roll Hall of Fame.

He gets up to give his speech and he says,

yeah, after they announced, they called to tell me I was going to Rockin' Roll Hall of Fame

if I would be buying a table.

It's like $25,000 for a table.

And the table was, say, eight people.

So he said,

I got some fam, it's a big deal.

I got some family I like to bring with me.

It's another $25,000 for another table.

Almost sounds like you're not being honored.

You're being extorted.

Hey, would you like this really nice experience?

In recognition of your career?

Well, $25,000.

Well, what if I won a few more?

$25 more.
