Good morning. Dwayne here, Tack Room Bible Talk. I want to look at one verse, mostly this morning, and just one simple thought, because I think it's a thought that we stop thinking. I think it's something that Christianity, Christians in particular, Christianity and the church in general as a whole today has just completely lost sight of.

And it's one of the things that's led to our demise.

And part of this I've mentioned before in passing in other videos.

Some of this, for those who've been here long term, may not be strictly new,

but I've been eating pinto beans and cornbread my whole life, and I still eat pinto beans and

cornbread today. It's one of the staples of existence. And so just because you had it one time

in the past, don't mean you never have to have it again.

First Corinthians chapter 10

and the verse number 31.

Whether therefore you eat or drink

or whatsoever you do

do all to the glory of God I'm going to read it again verse 31

whether therefore ye eat or drink or whatsoever ye do do all to the glory of God.

I'm reminded of the story in the Gospels where the apostles were with Jesus,

and they're taking a tour of the temple,

and they're showing Jesus how magnificent the temple is how glorious it is and he says you

you tear this down in three days I'll build it back up again of course he was referring to himself

but they were trying to extrapolate the glory of the building to the glory of

god and jesus wasn't having it he said my glory is in myself. You're going to, they're going to destroy me.

They're going to kill this body and I'm going to raise again in three days and that's my glory.

And this heathen, I do may and King Herod built this monstrosity of a building to appease the Jews and you guys get your glory from this

but that's not bringing me glory
