I can remember a few years ago reading some research about marketing and in this case it was dealing with choice.

In particular about how many options or choices are enough to give a customer variety without overwhelming them.

The hypothesis was that too many choices make it so that the customer can't make a decision in many

cases.

They're afraid of choosing the wrong one.

Now think of the internet and what we have available today.

If you were considering a purchase, maybe a FARCL for your bike, love that word,

FARC meaning an accessory for your bike. Just a quick online research, rather a quick online search,

reveals almost an endless number of choices. And it's overwhelming at times to say the least. But to make matters worse, it's not just choosing the

correct one for your application or your ride because the internet makes it so

that any company in the

world we've got Amazon, eBay, the list goes on.

Well, it means that anyone can offer a product that looks just like another product

maybe without having done the R&D, the research and

development that is required for a product like that. So they punch something

out that looks great on the surface but may have inferior materials, maybe

inferior design, manufacturing, or maybe all three of those or a combination of them,

and this just clouds the issue even more.

So the question is, how do you know when something is quality? And what is quality? Well today we're looking for

answers and ideas. We're going to start with talking about what quality is and
