As we wrap up week eight, move ahead to week nine and do it with the trade deadline in mind.

And what our trade deadline it was, which we will get to with my friend and

colleague, Daniel Dopp, but we also will be joined today by the offensive coordinator of the

Houston Texans, Bobby Sloick. He spent six years as a coach with the 49ers working his way

up the coaching ladder. This past off season, he followed D'emico Ryan's from San Francisco to Houston to become the Texans

offensive coordinator where he's worked closely with number two overall pick and maybe the

favorite for the offensive rookie of the year, C.J. Stroud.

But first, before we get to Bobby Sloick, the co-host of the fantasy-focused podcast, my friend,

All right, Adam Schaefter, first topic for our six-pack today.

How do we not talk about the trade deadline?

We had a bunch of move happen on Tuesday, not just Tuesday, but even the weekend

leading into the trade deadline. I feel like we're seeing more trades happen here in the NFL than

I remember seeing in recent memory. Well, what's gone on here is that everybody across the league

has seen that these young, aggressive, bold general managers who are daring, make moves and win.

And so everybody in a copycat league wants to make moves and win. And so everybody in a copy

cat league wants to make moves and win. And what happens? On Tuesday, the day of the NFL trade

deadline, there were eight trades, the second most trades on any day in season since 1990. Wow.

So we're talking about 33 years. That was the second busiest day for trades. And I don't

think there was any bigger moves than the ones that Washington made. Washington trades Montez

sweat to the Chicago Bears for a second round draft pick. Yep. It trades Chase Young to the 49ers
