Summary

Imagine first glimpsing a spirit at just four or five years old—only to have those apparitions follow you into your teens and beyond. You’re taught how to cleanse your aura, told by older relatives that you have “the gift,” and yet deep down you wish you could just stay unaware. That’s the quandary for one young woman who’s grown up trying to ignore silhouettes at the foot of her bed, a shadow man with piercing dark eyes, and murky shadows invading her home. But with age comes a realization: shutting out the dead might not be so simple after all, and if you have the ability to send them away, do you also have the responsibility to help them?
