Is Iraq helping or hurting the war on terror?

Hello again, I'm Orman Alney, and this is To the Point from Public Radio International,

a daily look at the issues Americans care about most.

President Bush

has declassified part of the national intelligence estimates saying the war in Iraq is a cause

celeb, increasing support for Islamic militants. It also says that if the jihadists appear to have

lost in Iraq, fewer will be inspired to keep fighting. On to the point, we'll hear how Democrats and Republicans are interpreting the report less than six weeks before the November elections.

Different parties draw different conclusions about how to proceed in Iraq.
