So today is the college football playoff.

So today is the college football playoff national championship. The University of Texas Longhorns made a valiant run and a hell of a close but didn't make it.

So it will be Washington versus Michigan.

And taxpayers will be kicking in about 18 million dollars for the privilege of having snarling traffic downtown.

Now you may or may not be excited that we're having the national championship.

It is taken for granted not to be argued that you want to have major sporting events in your city

because it will bring a billion trillion dollars to your economy or so you're told and who are you to question because

there's a lot of people that come here right right? And that number, 200 million is what it is now.

But they make the number up because nobody ever verifies this.

200 million is the number, it's to be 200 million dollars to the taxpayers that's what it's going to be and that's what they say and that's what we're going to do and so we're all going to repeat the number we're all excited over our $200 million that you're never going to see.

I mean truthfully nobody's ever going to see it but if they were did you think you were

ABC 13 with a story.

Who doesn't love a good game of college football?

But with the Wolverines and Huskies playing Monday night in our space city,

who's going to pay to house and keep these

calorie crushing athletes full. We're responsible for making sure that we're

taking care of the transportation accommodation and food and beverage needs of the

participating team so ultimately we are hosting the two universities.
