Today we're going to talk about some of the difficult passages of Scripture that seem to indicate that God is okay with abortion.

Sometime ago we did a podcast about some pro-choice arguments and a lot of those arguments had to do with you.

The Bible doesn't even mention abortion or there's a passage in the Bible that talks about how God is basically inducing an abortion in Numbers Chapter 5.

We talked about that, but you had sent me a message along the lines of talking about this and talking about, well, doesn't God encourage abortions in the Old Testament?

There's certainly a lot of passages of Scripture that are troubling as it pertains to the issue of abortion and the value of life.

That's really what we're talking about, not just abortion but the value of human life.

There are some troubling passages of Scripture that we all grapple with and we all struggle with.

How can a good God allow this or command that?

Of course, all boils down to if we were going to sum all of this up is that He's God.

He's the Lord. We're not. We don't know the end from the beginning, but He does.

Still, that dodging the question really, how can a good God command these things and how does it fit into a pro-life framework when we're talking about, as Christians, it is our charge to stand for life and yet supposedly our God doesn't stand for life.

At least in the Old Testament, some people have a mentality. We'll jump right into these questions here in a minute.

But some people have a mentality, sort of like God got saved in the New Testament.

In the Old Testament, He was sort of mean and wrathful, but in the New Testament, He's sort of nice now.

Of course, we know that the Bible tells us, in the Old Testament, I am the Lord. I change not. God throughout, old and New Testament is merciful.

He's kind. He is rich in mercy, slow to anger, in rich in loving kindness.

But there's this idea, of course, with some people who just have a misunderstanding of God.
