John Piper puts out a daily Ask the Pastor podcast and he takes on some pretty hard-hits hitting social issues. I admire him for that. He's

not one to shy away from answering questions. And I recommend you go listen to the entirety of his

answer of one of his listeners who's asking, who's an African-American young man who's asking

why there are so few blacks within the reform tradition.

And John Piper answers that question, and I want to engage with some of that answer today

in an obviously careful manner because obviously there are a lot of stereotypes.

There can be accusations of racism and all those kinds of things anytime you

approach a subject like this.

But I think it's a worthy discussion, and I think it's something that practically needs to be discussed. Because as one of the

earlier podcasts talks about the impracticality of Calvinism, I think this issue falls into that

impractical aspect of Calvinism. And I'll explain to you what I mean by that. But first, let's hear directly
