Summary

Will we continue to hold the notion that being free means getting lousy pay, no union, being broken by healthcare expenses and putting our kids to bed hungry? That “enforcing freedom” means LGBTQ people, racial and religious minorities, and pregnant women live in fear? Should schools teach propaganda? Pompeo and the GOP think so and are looking to strip American schools of every resource that doesn’t promote conservative heterosexual lifestyles.

You're listening to me for free right now, and that's awesome because more and more things

0:04.1

aren't free right now. I mean, think about all the things you're paying for daily, monthly yearly.

Well, here's something that won't add to that list, the free iHeartRadio app, podcasts,

0:13.8

streaming music, digital radio. All free, it's the future of audio and unlike almost everything

0:19.2

word freedom on pretty much everything. But I can tell you, you know, queer people in America

1:12.4

are not feeling freedom right now, particularly after this deadly attack at Club Q in Colorado Springs.

absolutely right. The Colorado Springs mass shooting at an LGBTQ club is terrorism, hate

1:29.2

directed at queer people. On the night of a drag queen event, Ron DeSantis is responsible, Greg

1:34.8

Abbott is responsible, Kerry Lake is responsible, Donald Trump is responsible, and I stand in solidarity

1:42.0

with that statement. To expand this frame a little bit, what the Republican Party has been

1:50.0

peddling to us, as Michael Angelo pointed out in his tweet, is hate. Hate for black people,

1:56.7

hate for Hispanic people, hate for Asian people, hate for Native Americans, hate for liberals,

2:03.1

hate for LGBTQ people, hate, I mean, this is because the party is basically organized around the

2:11.1

principle of getting as much money as possible out of the American people and giving it to the

2:15.2

very rich and giant corporations who then cycle a good chunk of that money back to those
