players that may be underrated, underappreciated, or just misunderstood. Each week, we try to

answer a question that's designed to make us challenge our preconceived notions about a famous

survivor contested. Of course, there are no right answers. It's just an excuse to talk about our

favorite show. As always, I'm your co-host Nigel Bokenegra and I'm joined by V. Kevin McClain.

Yes, I decided to be here to talk about Eric and one of the most iconic moves in survivor history,

so it'll be a fun episode. Yes, and a quick programming note. Last time we had mentioned that we'd be

speaking on Aussie today, but we've had a slight schedule change. So today, as Kevin said, we

are talking about Eric Reichenbach and we are joined by the one, the only, the pod father, Rob

Sesternino. They're going to say the dumbest survivor can ever. Rob Sesternino. You know, I've

always said I'd rather be the dumbest survivor contestant to win than the smartest player not to win.

But here I am and excited to chat about a icon, Eric Reichenbach.

Well, Kevin, do you want to get us kicked off by going through your introduction for air?

Sure. All right, dramatic introduction for air.

Like clockwork, Eric's foolish move is played on CBS commercials every few months,

but he isn't the only player to ever give up immunity. Why was Eric dub the dumbest survivor

of all time? And how did this characterization of him push Micronesia to be one of the most

beloved seasons of all time? At a time when super fans did not need to be strategic game bots,

did Eric's arc convince producers to like half newbie seasons as a model for the future?

And this naivete seems particularly lacking in modern survivor discourse, too.
