Welcome back to the der show. It was news today, obviously relating to some of the programs

0:10.0

we've had. The Supreme Court, nine to nothing ruled that Congress has the right to subpoena,

0:17.6

the Democratic Congress, has the right to subpoena Trump's tax returns. Even though the decision

0:24.6

was nine to nothing, I'm not sure it's right. The claim by Congress is that they want his tax returns

0:33.8

in order to pass legislation for the future. That doesn't pass the Google test. That's not why they

0:39.7

want his tax returns. They want his tax returns because they want to look at his tax returns

0:44.8

because they're pissed at him because he didn't produce his tax returns like other presidents have

0:48.8

done. And because they hope maybe they're going through his tax returns, they will find something

1:28.3

touch on white collar fraud. I want to touch on the Elizabeth Holmes case. Remember her? She's the

1:36.0

Silicon Valley Wunderkint who was convicted and sentenced to 11 years in prison. I also want to

1:44.1

touch on the Sam Bankman freed case, the FTX Fiasco, which is now causing millions of dollars

1:52.8

of losses and ask questions about how that should be handled. But here's my main point.

2:02.4

If you look closely at the Theranos case, Theranos was this blood testing company, Elizabeth Holmes,

2:09.7

a drop out from Stanford, a beautiful young, articulate woman who dressed like she was really

2:16.9

at the top of her game, persuaded, very sophisticated investors, very sophisticated investors,

2:24.5

and very sophisticated people to join her board of directors. And she was convicted of fraud.

2:34.6

And sentenced to 11 years in prison. That's a pretty long term for fraud. Generally,
