Summary

As culture reduces Easter to pastel optimism and vague messages of renewal, how can parents ground their children in the historical reality of the resurrection? This conversation helps families distinguish between cultural spirituality and the central truth of Christianity.

We discuss talking with your kids about topics like:

Would Good Friday Still Be Good without Easter?

How can we be sure Jesus really rose from the dead?

Is it too traumatic for kids to hear about Jesus' death on the cross?

Is Easter pagan? Why or Why not?

Well, hello, and welcome back to Kindled. I'm your host, Haley. If you're a parent, you understand. It can be challenging to explain to young

children the difference between our culture celebration of Easter and what we as Christians are

celebrating. It gets convoluted and mixed up in their little minds when they see bunnies and

eggs and all this talk about, you know, spring and new life, but then we're also talking

Christians. And so it's really important to always get your kids' hearts focused on what

of Jesus' resurrection is all about.

And yet, we can always get a new edge, a new fresh

perspective on things, and continue to learn and grow ourselves and how we not only share the

gospel, but then defend our faith and why we do what we do and explain that to our kids.
