So the Yankees are bringing back old-timers day.

They are celebrating the 2000 World Series championship team.

Obviously, 25 years later.

If you're a Mets fan, you don't have as many good memories from that World Series as the Yankee fan does.

But I heard Dave Sims and Susan raddling off all the names last night,

the guys who were going to be there and exciting group of names. Roger Clemens returning for the first time.

You know, guys like David Justice, of course, Jose Viscayano, who had the, you know, he was there,

not Louis Soho, who had that 50 million popper up the middle against Al Leiter.

But they got a bunch of guys that are showing up.

But then Dave goes, Captain,

number two, are going to make an appearance?

And Cusa goes, nope, no, he is not.

Now, Derek Jeter said

that he doesn't want to see the fans,

he doesn't want the fans to see him hit again at this age.

And part of me kind of understands that.

Because if you leave in like his final game at Yankee Stadium was so special and the home run and everything,

it's like when you leave on a high note and you're Derek Jeter and then like you

you're not hitting baseballs anymore and you show up at old timers day and you're a legend,

you're out in Monument Park, and then you look like you don't look like the way you used to look.

I could totally understand that if you're a guy like Derek Jeter.

But he should be there.
